DIFFERENT PRACTICALS AND WORKSHOPS

B.Ed is a professonal course. The ultimate goal of this course is to develop efficient teachers through Practicals and Training. Microteaching, Discussion Lesson, Observation and Faculty Demonstration, Criticism, Initiatory School Experiences, School Internship, etc and different workshop such yoga , Preparation of Teaching aid, Art and Drama, ICT, etc. are integral part of this Course.

   


TESTS / EXAMINATION

For each paper, there will be two internal examinations and one model examination in a semester. Test / examiniations will not be deferred or anticipated to suit individual convenience. No re-examination / re-test will be conducted in any subject. Perfect order and discipline should be maintained during test and examinations. Any malpractice, even if discovered later, will be seriously dealt with. Absence from examinations / tests will be seriously dealt with. A model examination prior to the University end semester examination will be conducted for each semester. Attendance is compulsory for model examination.


COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

College conducting a four days community Living Camp is a compulsory part of the curricular requirement. It is a joint camp of Student- Teachers and their Teacher educators, keeping certain formalities and following a pre/well planned time table. Learning to live together co-operatively, participation in programmes for development of personal and social skills, practicing democratic living, providing chances for division of labour, community work etc., are the major outcomes expected of the programme. This camp helps to impart  social  values  and  skills  like adjustment, sharing,  tolerance, empathy etc. and impart  personal skills such as leadership,  initiative, self-confidence, positive  attitude,  creativity, democratic  living,  managing events,  division of labour and dignity of labour etc.

  


COLLEGE MAGAZINE

The college magazine will be published at the end of every academic year. The management of the college magazine shall be vested on a committee composed of the Principal (Chief Editor), staff editor and student editor. The Principal has the option to nominate a few more members. The Principal has the option to nominate a few more members. In addition to this every optional classes shall publish manuscript magazines and wall magazines.

     


FIELD TRIPS / STUDY TOUR

The college conducts various field trips/ study tours suiting educational requirements of various categories of students. Study tours and field trip are part of the teacher training programme and hence all are expected to join them. It will encourage and strengthen friendliness and love for each other. It is also a source of relaxation. It helps to develop knowledge, good relations and cordiality. Study tours and excursions shall be arranged with prior ap-proval of the Principal. College authority shall not be responsible for any accident or mishap during study tours or Field Trips.

    


CLUBS AND FORUMS

The objectives of the clubs are to identity and develop the original and creative talents of the teacher trainees. The important clubs to be constituted in the college are :

SUPW

Socially Useful Productive work (SUPW) and field work with community based programmes are organised in the college to help the teacher trainees to develop healthy attitudes towards manual labour and cultivate the spirit of social service as a compulsory part of the Teacher Training Programme.


CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

The college offers different kinds of co-curricular activities aimed at harmonious development of the students. They are exhorted to participate in these activities wholeheartedly.

   


PHYSICAL EDUCATION, SPORTS & GAMES

The students are given opportunities to handle physical education classes and also to understand things connected with sports organisation and sports administration. Facilities are provided in the college for various sports & games

Every students should take part in the college games. A sports committee shall be constituted in order to advice and assist the functioning of the physical education department. The Principal shall be the Ex-officio president. The Lecturer in Physical Education, Nominated staff Members, General Captain and the House/ Team  Captains shall be the members of the Committee.

   


EXTENSION ACTIVITIES

The college undertake extension activities such as Adult and Continuing Education, AIDS and Cancer Awareness Campaign, Health Awareness Programme, Blood Donation camps, Environmental Awareness Programme, Free Tuition to needy student, Pain & palliative care, community related program etc. Students can opt any of these activities according to their taste and talents.
